Jim Murray's Whisky Bible
What's in a name? Hankey Bannister 40 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Hankey Bannister 40 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Warm and sweet. Spiced chocolate mixed with mulled raisin hidden beneath.
Palate: Completely enrapturing, it has a buttery soft glow that sparks with spicy moments.
Finish: A twinkle of fruit lasts. And lasts. And lasts some more.
