Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Glen Ord 14 Year Old 1997 - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Glen Ord 14 Year Old 1997 - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whiskey, rather than whisky.
