Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Glen Mhor 1979 - Cask Strength (Gordon and MacPhail) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Glen Mhor 1979 - Cask Strength (Gordon and MacPhail) whiskey, rather than whisky.

Glen Mhor 1979 Bottling Note

Distilled at the now silent Glen Mhor in 1979 and bottled in July 1995 at a thunderous cask strength.

Glen Mhor 1979 Tasting Note

The nose is full and rich. There are notes of vanilla fudge and mocchaccino, notes of rubbed petals and smoked woods with a touch of cut straw and grist. The palate is quite full and rich. There are notes of thick juicy fruits with citrus zest and barley sugar with hints of wood smoke and herbal notes. There is a distinct cut herb character with a beeswax. The finish is long with a touch of tar.
