What's in a name? Craigduff 40 Year Old 1973 (cask 2516) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Craigduff 40 Year Old 1973 (cask 2516) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Woody peat and red apples come through, creamy acacia honey, ginger.
Palate: Caramelised apples catching, heather beeswax and hints of clove.
Finish: Savoury smoked barley.
Overall: Intriguing and delicious.
