Description

An exceptional Glen Grant, distilled in April of 1975 and aged for 36 years in a single refill hogshead before bottling in 2011 for Douglas Laing's prestigious Old and Rare Platinum Selection. A release of 302 numbered bottles, all at natural cask strength...

Nose

A cherry-led nose with notes of sweet sherry, oaky spices, vanilla cream, orange zest and just a hint of peppermint. This is complex stuff.

Palate

Dried fruits, cinnamon and nutmeg, stewed apricots, a little plum wine, black pepper and toffee apples.

Finish

Malty and intense, and very slightly smoky. Rich and tasty.
