Glen Grant 25 Year Old 1985 - Old & Rare (Douglas Laing)
A rich, tasty Glen Grant distilled in July 1985 and aged in wine-finished barrel for 25 years before bottling in February of 2011 at natural cask strength for Douglas Laing's Old and Rare Platinum Selection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rose petals, vanilla and bitter orange marmalade. Notes, too, of walnut, dates, figgy pudding and a little dill.
Palate
Herbal and spiced, with notes of stem ginger, black pepper, lemon zest, salty butter and marmalade.
Finish
Good length, slightly salty with notes of toasted barley and barrel char.
