A delicious 13 year old Edradour, distilled in November 1997 and finished for 3-and-a-bit years in a single Moscatel hogshead before bottling in January 2011. There are just 435 decanter bottles of this stuff, all at natural cask strength.
Cut hay and strawberry conserve. There are notes of soft menthol, heather root, thick sweet malt and a touch of treacle too.
Creamy palate with notes of rhubarb and custard sweets, over-ripe strawberries, bruised bananas, digestive biscuits and peppermint.
Thick and sweet. A decadent whisky indeed!
