What's in a name? Edradour Ballechin #6 Bourbon Cask Matured (The Discovery Series) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Edradour Ballechin #6 Bourbon Cask Matured (The Discovery Series) whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Light, musty smoke, hints of farmyards, vanilla spice, gentle peat, forest floors and pepper.
Palate: Smoky and nutty, some marzipan, hazelnut, custard, olive oil and lapsang souchong.
Finish: Herbal, floral and toasty, some vanilla and oak.
This is the best whiskey I had! And the fact that I was there in Edradours Destillery when I first taste it doesn't make it less good :) Really heavy and smokey. So good!
