Insider knowledge: Eagle Rare 17 Year Old whiskey is named whiskey by virtue of the fact it's from America. If distilled in Scotland the spelling would be Eagle Rare 17 Year Old whisky, as opposed to whiskey.
Nose: Fruity and sweet. Nutty, warm pastries, syrup.
Palate: Gentle, crisp. Cigar boxes, spice. Black pepper, some char. Butterscotch, herbal.
Finish: Toasty vanilla and toffee.
best damn bourbon there is IMO.
goes down smooth with some great notes of vanilla and maple.

I use Johnny Walker Gold Label as a reference point.
This wasn't as warm and spicy, but smooth enough.
At half the price I'd be impressed.
