Interesting fact… Eagle Rare 17 Year Old whiskey spells its name whiskey as it originates in America. Had it been produced in Scotland its name would be Eagle Rare 17 Year Old whisky, instead of whiskey.
Nose: Fruity and sweet. Nutty, warm pastries, syrup.
Palate: Gentle, crisp. Cigar boxes, spice. Black pepper, some char. Butterscotch, herbal.
Finish: Toasty vanilla and toffee.
Smooth as butter on the tongue, no bite. Easily as good as Pappy

I use Johnny Walker Gold Label as a reference point.
This wasn't as warm and spicy, but smooth enough.
At half the price I'd be impressed.

goes down smooth with some great notes of vanilla and maple.
