What's in a name? Eagle Rare 17 Year Old whiskey is called whiskey because it's produced in America. Were it from Scotland it would be spelled Eagle Rare 17 Year Old whisky, rather than whiskey.
Nose: Fruity and sweet. Nutty, warm pastries, syrup.
Palate: Gentle, crisp. Cigar boxes, spice. Black pepper, some char. Butterscotch, herbal.
Finish: Toasty vanilla and toffee.
best damn bourbon there is IMO. goes down smooth with some great notes of vanilla and maple.
Smoother than Roger Moore after he's had a shave
I use Johnny Walker Gold Label as a reference point. This wasn't as warm and spicy, but smooth enough. At half the price I'd be impressed. /Joakim
