Cragganmore 11 Year Old 2000 - Old Malt Cask (Douglas Laing)
This eleven year old Cragganmore was bottled by Douglas Laing for the 20cl range of their Old Malt Cask brand. These are known as the 'Advance Samples' and are designed to replicate the sample bottles the Laing brothers are sent to try when selecting the casks they may later bottle.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A floral style with sweet vanilla notes and suggestions of oak tannin.
Palate
Parma violets, rhubarb and custard.
Finish
The finish is creamy with a combination of vanilla pod, cumin and nutmeg.
Overall
A vanilla focussed Cragganmore with plenty else going on.
