Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Caperdonich 38 Year Old 1970 - Cask Strength Collection Rare Reserve (Signatory) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Caperdonich 38 Year Old 1970 - Cask Strength Collection Rare Reserve (Signatory) whiskey, rather than whisky.

Caperdonich 1970 Bottling Note

Just look at how handsome this whisky looks! Look closer and gaze with awe and wonderment at the solid wood, polished presentation case. This was distilled at Caperdonich in the 1st May 1970 and matured in hogshead number 3335 for 38 years before bottling by Signatory on the 29th July 2008. This is part of a release of just 145 individually numbered bottles. This has been left at cask strength (which may surprise you given that it's only at 43.5% - but this is due to the very long ageing process, and the angel's share).
