Interesting fact… Buffalo Trace (Old Bottling) whiskey spells its name whiskey as it originates in America. Had it been produced in Scotland its name would be Buffalo Trace (Old Bottling) whisky, instead of whiskey.
The nose is quite sweet and rich with notes of crème anglaise, milkshake, hints of Kendal mint cake a soft rum note. The palate is full and fruity with notes of winter spice and rum, the oak is present in a toasty, sweet capacity with notes of Madeira. The finish is rather long with notes of dry winter spice and vanilla essence.

A Staple!
Buffalo Trace has become a staple sippin' whiskey for me. I keep a bottle handy in the office for those (occasional) days where you need something fine in your life. Smooth, sweet, smokey - delicious.

first bottle of buffalo trace bought best bourbon ever tasted in fact went out and bought another bottle today
A superfluous 'thank you'.
I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of Buffalo Trace as a 'thank you' for basic neighbourliness. This Bourbon previously 'foreign' to me, was excellent; delicious and refined. The gesture of this superb 'thank you' is far in excess of any kindness on my part. I'll be buying another bottle tomorrow. A recommendation as sincere as my contrite apology to Scotland.... Paul
