Benrinnes 12 Year Old 1998 - Provenance (Douglas Laing)
This was distilled at the Benrinnes distillery in Winter 1999. It was then aged for 12 years in a single sherry butt before bottling in 2011 for Douglas Laing's cracking Provenance range.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Spiced and sweet, Scotch tablet, cooked banana, cinnamon and cookie dough ice-cream.
Palate
Oily and rich palate with sweet barley malt, manuka honey and spongecake. Hints of nutmeg develop.
Finish
Long with a sudden surge of buttery sweetness.
