What's in a name? Bowman Brothers Small Batch Bourbon whiskey is called whiskey because it's produced in America. Were it from Scotland it would be spelled Bowman Brothers Small Batch Bourbon whisky, rather than whiskey.
Nose: Toffee apples next to a warm fire on a cold autumnal evening.
Palate: Bursting with a lively rye alongside hints of oak, vanilla and maple.
Finish: Fairly long.
Overall: Fantastic straight bourbon whiskey.
This was the first bottle I ever bought for myself. Not being a big connoisseur, I have to say I loved the overall taste. Strong (but not hard) on the first sip, smooth going down, and fantastic finish. Great first purchase. (Also, bought it at the actual distillery for $30)
