Pusser's 15 Bottling Note
A 15 year old Naval Rum. Traditionally, this rum would be afforded to seamen as part of their daily ration. A double dose was offered before battle, given to the sailors by the ship's purser (eventually this name became Pusser)…
The nose is very full and fruity with espresso, marmalade, marzipan, crème de cacao, spice, vanilla cream, black pepper. The palate is full and very rounded with notes of syrupy spice and fruit, vanilla spice. The finish is very long and syrupy with dark

I have served 30 years in the Royal Navy, so I have a reasonable idea of what rum should taste like, this 15 year old Pusser's rum is about as near as you will ever get to the issue that was so in the RN, although officers didn't get the daily issue, I have had many a tot in my time. Excellent brew.

Iwas in the mob (navy) for 22 years and normally I am now a whisky man,
but the pussers rum is saved for special occasions,it is the same stuff we drank upto it,s sad withdrawl, they said it wasn,t compatible with the modern navy! I still have the half pint pussers glass I drank my last tot from.HMS FORTH (Singapore) very sad I know but this it what memories are made of. CHEERS
