Ven A Mi Reposado Bottling Note

The Ven A Mi Reposado is a Mezcal, which is a Tequila style drink made throughout Mexico. Tequila has to be made from the Blue Agave plant whereas Mezcal can use a variety of Agave plants. The other difference is that the plant is often cooked underground using charcoal giving Mezcal a smoky aroma and flavour.

This Ven A Mi is a Reposado, which translates as 'rested', meaning that it has spent a number of months in wooden barrels lending the Mezcal an oaky flavour on top of its herbaceous smokiness.

Nose: Warm golden syrup notes with cinnamon tones and swirling charcoal smoke.

Palate: A spicy palate with barbecue baked pears and gentle smoke.

Finish: A warming finish of cinnamon sprinkled whipped cream with a touch of smoke on the tail.

Overall: A really warm and spicy mezcal that goes down extraordinarily easily.
