A brushed gold Tullibardine from bottler Wemyss Malts. This whisky more than lives up to its name with lashings of sweet dried fruit and spice.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
The initial nose is rich and moreish with aromas of brandy snaps, marzipan and rich dark chocolate before luscious notes of rum-soaked-raisins and macerated cherries.
Palate
The palate hints at butterscotch and crystallised fruits, with more cherry and raisin notes.
Finish
Sweet and rolling finish, soft like a fine cognac.
Overall
A lovely malt to enjoy after dinner in place of brandy.
