Insider knowledge: Tomintoul 1976 whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Tomintoul 1976 whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Fruity, molasses, spices, dried peels, rich, malty, biscuity.
Palate: Thick, voluptuous, silky delivery with rich fruit, spices, dates, figs, malt, hints of oak.
Finish: Long, supple and well balanced with tinges of oak spice.
