Nose: Very subtle peat notes on the nose, with more than a hint of glacé cherries, redcurrant jelly and cassis. A little whisper of smoke.
Palate: Dried apricot alongside agave nectar, gentle peat smoke and soft spices. Red berries appear late palate, with a hint of granary toast.
Finish: Long, smoky finish with sooty malt, candy floss and dried banana chips.
Overall: A very interesting whisky indeed, with a curious mix of soft, though savoury peat smoke, and a barrage of fruit!
