Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? The Glenlivet Nadurra 16 Year Old (Old Edition) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled The Glenlivet Nadurra 16 Year Old (Old Edition) whiskey, rather than whisky.

The Glenlivet Nadurra 16 Bottling Note

Jim Murray describes this 16 year old cask strength as "pure entertainment"! The name Nadurra derives from the Gaelic word for 'natural'. A really enjoyable Glenlivet. This is the old, discontinued edition.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite full and well-balanced. There are notes of toasty charred oak with a most gentle of smokes with notes of marmalade and orange with a touch of apple blossom and bramley apple. There palate is quite full and rich. There are notes of sultanas and rich dried porridge oats steeped in honey. There is a honeycomb note with winter spice and notes of peppery oak, hints of fruitcake and a doughy character. The finish is long and spicy with peppy oak.

Travel retail version is 48% ABV

A good dram but with a bit too strong bourbon smell - it is American Bourbon Oak. Let it aerate, then it comes a nice tipple.

This one is much better than the travel retail version!

very nice fruit-bomb!

Rich & Full Single Malt Scotch.

This is one great scotch. There is no way you won't like it. Single malt, natural single barrel, rich full body taste. And it costs less than one hundred dollars. What else could you ask for. G.A.

Great - Especially as on discount at Waitrose!

Not a speyside fan - but this is really nice. Didn't get the bourbon flavours but definitely got the spice.

Good spirit, but that's all

Soft wood, flowers and lacquer in aroma; dense and warming spirit, which almost blocks the flowers in the middle; malty sourness in the end. Unpretentious aftertaste with remains of malt and nuts.
