Springbank - Batch 2 Bottling Note

This is the second batch of Springbank from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. It is a classically styled, oily, rich single malt, just as you'd expect from Campbeltown. The label features a wonderful illustration of Neil and Joel from Caskstrength.net, operating the distillery's famous old Porteus Mill.

This is a release of 450 numbered bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A smouldering, oily nose with hints of heather root, allspice and a touch of charred oak. Manuka honey and pepper.

Palate: Peppery, spicy palate with big, creaking oak an a touch of salted caramel. Peat smoke arrives as the palate develops, with a touch of baked apple.

Finish: Baking spices and caramel. A little treacle and mixed herbs.

Overall: An oily, coastal, classic Springbank.
