Insider knowledge: Springbank CV whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Springbank CV whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Toffee sweetness, lots of dried fruit. Plenty of smoke, nutty, marzipan, dried citrus. Coastal as always. Perhaps the faintest hint of sulphur, not unpleasant though. Palate: Big and full on the palate. Dark sugar, very fruity and spicy, lots of coastal character too, as a surge of smoke develops, good body.
