This is nectar from the gods. What an absolutely amazing pour. And wow, the time it breathed from the first taste til now is doing wonders. Opened this the day Szobo scored the winner vs Arsenal. 1-0. It was damn good then. Took another glass tonight, after Norways win over Israel. Complexity is out of this world. I could not recommend this high enough. If you see it, then fucking buy it!!!!
Best sipping drink I ever had. It's been decades because of the rarity and cost of Springbank 21 since then. I'd have a case if I could afford it. I bought the bottle due to reviews in Decanter magazine where they chose it in consecutive years as the best sipping drink over much costlier choices including hallowed cognacs, etc. It was like a combination of the best whisky and the best cognac. It had smoothness and elegance and yet power without great bite, just enough, and complexity up the wazoo as if it needed a book chapter to describe all the tastes going on. If there's something better OMG!
I found this way too sweet and I love bourbons and sherry bombed scotch. The sweetness was just off putting to me. Not a bad whisky but not something Id buy again
Please don't buy this , get a Glenfiddich 12 yr old instead, its not worth the money. If you see this one don't waste your money
Yeah, the flat and boring guy either got an oxidized bottle (any wet newspaper in there, bub?) or he should stick with his cheaper drams - seem to make him perfectly happy. While I wish they'd re-release a 21yr cask strength version again, this superb whisky will just have to do. For me, there's no reason to climb up to the 25yr: the 21yr has a more enjoyable mid-palate, and a finish for days. Grabbed 3 bottles of this.
