Secret Stills Lowland 1987 Bottling Note
A single malt from Gordon and MacPhail's Secret Stills range. This Lowland whisky was distilled in 1987. If you'd like to know where it's from, we can't tell you, we can give you some clues though: the distillery is known as the maker of "the Edinburgh Malt", it's also near Pentcaitland.
The nose is of medium-body with notes of sherried nuts and peels, hints of dark chocolate and plenty of barley, hints of winter spice. The palate is of good body with notes of winter fruitcake, spices, a rooty note, liquorice, notes of toasty oak and a hint of sherry. The finish is of good length with dry oak and a mixed dried fruit note.
