What's in a name? Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Rich Oak whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Rich Oak whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Lots of oak influence. Very fruity, nutmeg, cinnamon, bourbon, fruits, dates.
Palate: Bourbon sweetness, with lots of general fruitiness, sublimely smooth.
Finish: Nutty and of good length, toasty, hints of char, fruity.
Had this in Manchester lately and it was just delightfully smooth. I shall be purchasing a bottle!
A taste of chestnuts, smooth to perfection and extremely tasty. My first Glenfiddich purchase and a fantastic one indeed.
One of the nicest Whisky's i've tasted. Well worth a purchase!
Can't decide between dessert or a whiskey after dinner? You can have both! This is a delightfuly smooth and sweet whiskey, and your non whiskey drinking friends will seriously think twice about the joys of a dram.
The nose on this is enticing - different from other Glenfiddichs with lots of spicy undertones. The palate however doesn't do it for me - too watery and too dry, with none of the gentle sweetness the nose promised. I prefer the standard 12 year-old Glenfiddich to this - but if you want a top Glenfiddich, get the 15.
The reviewer immediately above is an idiot. How can something be too watery and too dry at the same time? Go back to kindergarten.
Sensational Malt, one of my favorites, smooth fruity, long life, vanilla mixed with stewed pip fruits I could go on I'm already a Glenfiddich fan. I would and have recommend this to any serious whisky nut !
Glenfiddich has a habit of being ignored in Whisky circles because of its popularity abroad, but they make excellent stuff...this offering is top notch, being about 15 years old, and with a Bourbon finish...it must be pretty darn good as I am on my 2nd bottle...
This has to be one of my favourites. Very smooth and rich. Nearly finished my first bottle of this. There will definitely be more!
Just a touch mind.
sorry Missed the stars re above.
This is a very nice, smooth, single-malt. A decent price on a great whisky! A.Gray
I recommend this whisky for anyone who gets on well with the 12 year single malt who wants to explore whisky further, it goes down very well and has similarities to the 12 year old but with enough difference to make it special. Masterofmalt prices are great so don't miss out, I will be getting in more of this.
My love of Single Malts influenced my dear friend to treat me to this lucious sweet delicate Glenfiddich for my birthday Sheer Delight Cheers !
a glenfiddich with character
