Insider knowledge: Roughstock Montana Pure Malt Whiskey is named whiskey by virtue of the fact it's from America. If distilled in Scotland the spelling would be Roughstock Montana Pure Malt Whisky, as opposed to whiskey.
Nose: Sweet barley, golden syrup and sliced green apples.
Palate: Vanilla custard, sweet caramel and creamy barley with toasty wood spices.
Finish: Spicy and warming.
Overall: Made from top quality barley, which is allowed to shine.
Love it. I am not experienced enough to write a proper review, but if you have ever eaten straight wheat, that is what your drinking. Smooth. I liken it to a young tullamore.
