What's in a name? Penderyn Sherrywood whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Wales. Were it from America it would be spelled Penderyn Sherrywood whiskey, rather than whisky.
The nose is sweet and of good body. Plenty of honey and cut herbs and barley sugar. A mixed peel and sultana note. The palate is of good body with a decent spice. Plenty of thick sherry and ground ginger with winter spice and oak. The finish is quite long with sherry and oak.
