Old Elgin 15 Bottling Note
A balanced, aromatic Speyside 15 year old blended malt from Gordon and MacPhail, Old Elgin is named for the City and Royal Burgh of Elgin, where Gordon and MacPhail is based.
The nose is quite fruity and rich with notes of Madeira and heather roots, hints of beeswax and honey and a note of cut hay and winter spice. The palate is of good body with a lovely balance. There are notes of barley malt and winter spice, a touch of fennel with a note of apples and pears and a touch of honey. The finish is long with cereals and barley malt.
