What's in a name? Old Elgin 15 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Old Elgin 15 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
The nose is quite fruity and rich with notes of Madeira and heather roots, hints of beeswax and honey and a note of cut hay and winter spice. The palate is of good body with a lovely balance.
