Mosstowie 32
Bottling Note
A 32 year old single cask Mosstowie, this was distilled on the 15th May 1979, before maturation in bourbon barrel number 12761. It was bottled by Signatory for their Cask Strength Collection on the 15th September 2011 and has an out-turn of 162 bottles. This whisky is made all the rarer by the fact that Mosstowie was only produced at the Miltonduff distillery for 17 years. It was made in two special Lomond stills.
Nose: Vanilla sweetness, cereal creaminess and toffee. An inviting nose with hints of fresh blossom, fragrant wood and spice.
Palate: Spicy and quite rich actually. A lot of oily toffee notes, some violet notes, ginger, toffee and pepper. All the time with thick cereal core.
Finish: Good length with gingernut biscuits and toffee.
