Mortlach 19 Bottling Note

Distilled on the 12th September 1990 at the Mortlach distillery in Speyside. This single cask whisky was aged for 19 years in sherry butt number 5964 before bottling at casks strength by Signatory on the 12th April 2010. A release of 639 individually numbered bottles.

This smelt and tasted of alcoholic medicinal ethyl with honey.. after adding water there was virtually no perceptible aroma and the taste was just sugared alcohol... I know Mortlach to be a rich complex Whisky but this was rough and I'll be sending it back through my retailer...

And I thought I just didn't know what a real whiskey is
