Mortlach 17 Bottling Note

A slender half bottle from Adelphi. This was distilled at Mortlach in 1991, and matured in a single cask (number 4235) for 17 years before bottling at cask strength in 2009. A release of 620 bottles. Good sherry flavour.

Mortlach 17 Tasting Note

Nose: Lovely sherry aromas, nutty, biscuity, soft, hints of tart fruit and warm pastries, butterscotch.
Palate: Rounded and mellow, big body with notes of chocolate, coffee, stewed fruits, apple crumble, hints of bitter oak.
Finish: Long, espresso, cocoa, hints of fudge.
