Insider knowledge: Miyagikyou 15 Year Old whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Japan. If distilled in America the spelling would be Miyagikyou 15 Year Old whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Very sweet with vanilla fudge, toffee apple and spice. A straightforward nose, without heaps of complexity, but very charming nonetheless. Palate: Malty, toffeyed, and generically fruity, this is a great session dram – not too heavy, and very pleasing. Finish: Spices, hints of granary toast. Malty.

Yum
I second that. I tried a sample of this last night. A perfect balance of sweetness and smoke that gets better with every sip. It's one of those whiskies that pops up pleasantly in your nose the next day. Shame it's out of stock!!
