Whiskey or Whisky

What's in a name? Millar's Special Reserve whiskey is called whiskey because it's produced in Ireland. Were it from Scotland it would be spelled Millar's Special Reserve whisky, rather than whiskey.

Millar's Irish Whiskey Bottling Note

Millar's originated in Dublin, originally made by a company called Adam Millar and Co, today it is produced at the Cooley distillery.

Millar's Irish Whiskey Tasting Note

The nose is quite sweet and full with a little tartness. There are notes of cereal grains and barley malt with oaken dryness. The palate is quite full and punchy with notes of dessert wine and sherried peels. The finish is long with charred oak and cereal sweetness.
