Insider knowledge: Millar's Special Reserve whiskey is named whiskey by virtue of the fact it's from Ireland. If distilled in Scotland the spelling would be Millar's Special Reserve whisky, as opposed to whiskey.
The nose is quite sweet and full with a little tartness. There are notes of cereal grains and barley malt with oaken dryness. The palate is quite full and punchy with notes of dessert wine and sherried peels. The finish is long with charred oak and cereal sweetness.
