Tasting notes from Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2009:
Nose: 22/25 thick briny malt;
Taste: 22/25 exactly the same effect on the palate, except here there is more citrus, albeit hiding behind the barley;
Finish: 24/25 now really comes into its own as the delicate sweetness helps envelope the palate with the malt, leading to a cocoa-rich fanfare;
Balance: 23.5/25 this, certainly towards the finish, is exactly how I imagine whisky from this distillery should be. Uncanny.
