What's in a name? Macallan 21 Years Old 1991 (cask 8972) - Directors' Cut (Douglas Laing) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Macallan 21 Years Old 1991 (cask 8972) - Directors' Cut (Douglas Laing) whiskey, rather than whisky.
Dried fruits macerating in cloudy apple juice on the nose followed by cloves and ginger on the palate. The finish is long with notes of allspice and oak.
The tasting notes are on par...nice works chaps.
This is an obvious treat and anyone who buys this on a whim doesn't appreciate what it is:
Another H/T to the gents at this fine website! I'm the only person in North America enjoying this dram.
For any person in CA or NV, order now! Let's support these chaps!
