Nose: Rich and quite unique (we know one cannot have gradations of uniqueness, but we don’t care). The nose gives off hints of bourbon wood, particularly an intense, buttery, charred oak character. Hints of allspice, cedar and walnut, a little wine-like character too. Interesting!
Palate: Rich, buttery and very spicy. Minty notes develop, alongside applewood, citrus and cut hay. Malty sweetness, but quite subdued beneath all that bourbon!
Finish: Long, sweet finish offering peppermint, butterscotch and charcoal.
