Interesting fact… Longrow 10 Year Old 100 Proof whisky spells its name whisky as it originates in Scotland. Had it been produced in America its name would be Longrow 10 Year Old 100 Proof whiskey, instead of whisky.
The nose is of good body with a spirity sweetness. There are notes of marmalade and orange peel, hints of cut flowers and a vague iodine note. There are some shades of malted barley and cereal sweetness. The palate is quite full with a well-balanced sweetness. There are notes of apple skins, calvados and chewy oak tannins. There is a charred wood note which develops into a gently glowing ember, notes of the coast creep up with a good nutty oiliness. The finish is long and very punchy. ...more
