Lochside 1981 G&M Bottling Note
A Gordon and MacPhail bottling from the now silent Lochside distillery, distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2005.
The nose is quite fresh and of medium-body. There are notes of menthol and orange, hints of zest and a buttery note on toasted granary bread. Notes of pastry and pepper. The palate is quite rounded and well-balanced. There are notes of honeycomb and cut flowers with a barley sweetness and a menthol hint with barley sugar. The finish is long and drying with dried peels.
