Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Littlemill 1991 - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Littlemill 1991 - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whiskey, rather than whisky.

Littlemill 1991 Bottling Note

Distilled at Littlemill in 1991 and bottled in 2007 by Gordon and MacPhail, a single malt from a now closed distillery.

Littlemill 1991 Tasting Note

The nose is quite light and peppy. There are notes of chewy lemon marmalade with tangy citrus. There are winter spice notes and black pepper with acacia honey and cut straw. The palate is quite smooth and of medium-body. There are notes of Cox’s apple and calvados. Rocha pears, hints of rosewater and oak. The finish is long with oily silken delivery.
