What's in a name? Laphroaig 1999 - The Coopers Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Laphroaig 1999 - The Coopers Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.) whiskey, rather than whisky.
I cannot believe that single malt can taste like this... it was like tasting the inside of a old open fireplace...absolutely vile. However just because i favour Speyside distilleries means there will be people who favour the laphroaig.
