What's in a name? Karuizawa Spirit of Asama 55% whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Japan. Were it from America it would be spelled Karuizawa Spirit of Asama 55% whiskey, rather than whisky.
As with many of the Japanese whiskys, this is bold and striking. The dark sherry taste is transfused with a potent fruit presence. All in all, an excellent choice
