Isle of Arran 12 Bottling Note

A 12 year old from the Isle of Arran, bottled for Murray McDavid. This was distilled in 1996, initially matured in bourbon barrels and then enhanced in casks from Premier Cru Margaux casks from Château Margaux. This was bottled at Bruichladdich in 2008 as a release of 1,500 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Buttery, warm pastries, barley, toasty, thickly fruity, all sorts of fresh fruits, with a hint of acidity.

Palate: Malty and spicy, slightly briny. Arran's character is strong enough to show through, and integrates well with the fruit and tannins from the Margaux cask.

Finish: Toasty and spicy, lots of oak influence.
