What's in a name? Inishowen whiskey is called whiskey because it's produced in Ireland. Were it from Scotland it would be spelled Inishowen whisky, rather than whiskey.
Guys, this is a wonderful Irish whiskey. Very smooth, but has a some wonderful Islay, peat moss characteristics. I have enjoyed this year after year on St. Patties Day in Ontario Canada. I always reserve a bottle. If you are a scotch fan, enjoy peat and want to try something a little different I PROMISE you that you will very much enjoy this nice whiskey.
