Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Glenury Royal 1984 - Rare Old (Gordon and MacPhail) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Glenury Royal 1984 - Rare Old (Gordon and MacPhail) whiskey, rather than whisky.

Glenury Royal 1984 Bottling Note

A lovely, and very rare bottling of Glenury Royal, this was distilled in 1984 and bottled for Gordon and MacPhail's prestigious Rare Old range.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is very creamy with malty barley and toasted cereal sweetness. Toffee and Crème anglaise aplenty with rich oozing aplomb. The palate is of medium-body and quite subtle. Notes of dark sugar and spice with thick toasty cereal notes and a creamy mouth feel. There are some beautiful barley highlights with a well-aged oaked backing. The finish is creamy with vanilla notes and a well-schooled refinement.
