Glenrothes 19 Bottling Note
A very special bottling from Murray McDavid. They took bourbon cask-aged Glenrothes, distilled in 1990, and brought it over to the Bruichladdich distillery, where it was reracked into Jurancon sweet wine casks. It was bottled in 2009, and there are just 525 bottles of this, at natural cask strength.
Nose: Sweet, rich notes of gooey toffee, honey and cinnamon on the nose. Some overripe grapes, buttery toffee popcorn and cooked apples.
Palate: Rich and thick. A creamy note of dessert wine, with beautiful vanilla tones, stewed fruit, nutmeg, malt and creme caramel.
Finish: Long and rich, tingling spices on the finish.
