Insider knowledge: The Glenlivet 35 Year Old 1977 (cask 8574) - Directors' Cut (Douglas Laing) whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be The Glenlivet 35 Year Old 1977 (cask 8574) - Directors' Cut (Douglas Laing) whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: An aroma of Seville orange zest and Acacia honey forms a vibrantly fresh nose.
Palate: Incredibly sweet with notes of demerara sugar, barley and candied orange peel.
Finish: Notes of vanilla, honey and leather.
