Insider knowledge: Glenglassaugh 32 Year Old 1976 - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Glenglassaugh 32 Year Old 1976 - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory) whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Very smooth, not a hint of a burn or tingle on the nose or palate. Intense sweet vanilla is the dominant flavour, with underlying floral elements and a curiously rich grassy note, with just a hint of fresh costal influence.
The finish is very long and sweet, with a lingering menthol sensation that cools the mouth for over an hour after tasting.
