Glenfarclas 1984 (bottled 2011) (cask 6030) - Family Cask Release VII
A 1984 vintage Glenfarclass bottled in 2011, part of the 7th release of the intriguing Family Casks releases.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
This is fruity and sweet with pronounced ester notes of green apples, bananas and papaya. Very unusual for a Glenfarclas.
Palate
More tropical fruit, quite citrusy but still sweet with a little pear juice. Turns drier towards the finish.
Finish
Quite short and very dry with green and peppery notes. This leaves you wanting more.
Overall
An interesting dram that isn't your typical Glenfarclas, but none the less is a very arresting and shows intense clarity of flavour.
