This Family Cask bottling was distilled in 1970 and matured in single cask number 566, a sherry butt. A powerful, darkly fruity Glenfarclas which was bottled on the 28th February 2007 as part of a release of 497 bottles.

Glenfarclas Family Cask 1970 Tasting Note

Nose: Rich, spicy. Thick, fruity malt loaf. Toasted cinnamon buns, rum. Stem ginger in syrup. Sherry, pepper.
Palate: Thick, chewy. Sherry. Fruit, ripe and lush. Rum spice. Pepper.
Finish: Spiced rum, heavy, buttery, oak, allspice.
