Insider knowledge: Glenfarclas 1954 Family Cask whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Glenfarclas 1954 Family Cask whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Barley sugar, sherry. Oak, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
Palate: Rich, intense, peppered spice. Oak, tannic. Rummy, dark sugar, barley, juicy.
Finish: Long, oaked, drying, malmsey, kirshwasser.
