What's in a name? Glenfarclas 1954 Family Cask whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Glenfarclas 1954 Family Cask whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Barley sugar, sherry. Oak, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
Palate: Rich, intense, peppered spice. Oak, tannic. Rummy, dark sugar, barley, juicy.
Finish: Long, oaked, drying, malmsey, kirshwasser.
